Developing the full film plot

Next step is here! This time I am focusing on developing the plot of my film. I chose that I would take a more relaxed approach towards the average phycological dramas that I have watched and instead make my film about a teenager who is living what seems like a happy life in Florida during the summer but struggles mentally and is overall unhappy. The plot will be put in his shoes and viewing why the main character struggles and showing his path toward healing. The film opening will allow me to show the unhappiness of the character while showing how he lives what seems like an extremely enjoyable life, leading the viewer to wonder why he is sad.


Now how will I actually make this achievable through the whole plot. To begin the character will be seen by himself facing people enjoying their day with bright colors, after it will show a pov of him looking at the people and the colors will turn darker kind of showing he sees the world in a different more sad way. After wards it will just show him facing his mental health battles by talking to people and including himself into the vibrant life around him. But afterwards after being out-casted by the people he was surrounding himself with he ends up falling back to his depression and the world turns a dark color in his pov again. But then he is included by people who actually care about him and after a bit of time he finally beats his mental fight. Therefor the overall idea of this film is to show that fighting depression and winning is possible. The main purpose of the plot is to really engage with the viewer and really target people who are struggling with this issue but at the same time making it enjoyable to all.




Some key elements that will be in my film plot will be a pair of headphones which he uses to cancel out the world around him by playing music which if the film was continued he would end up fully taking off. The purpose of these headphones is to show that he finally stopped shutting of the world and started actually listening to the world around him and involving himself in it.




I'm happy with the way my plot is came out since it is actually doing what I intended to do from the beginning I'm honestly really exited about this project and the idea I have and hopefully I deliver it correctly but I guess well see.
